Bodegas Amador García is in Baños de Ebro, a beautiful village in the southern part of the historical region of Alava, on the banks of the River Ebro, which belongs to the cuadrilla (county) of Laguardia-Rioja Alavesa. The winery is surrounded by vineyards and situated in a privileged spot between the Sierra de Cantabria mountains and the River Ebro with its own special microclimate.
The Sierra de Cantabria mountains protect our vineyards from the cold northern winds, giving them a Mediterranean character.
La Rioja Alavesa is one of the three sub-regions into which the Rioja appellation area is divided. It has 11,500 hectares of vineyards. The local economy is based on the monoculture of grapes and the making of Rioja wine.
